Antara Institute of Health Sciences, the educational wing of Antara Society of Mental Health Sciences believes that mental health caregivers need to be trained in providing basic care to mentally ill patients in clinical and community setting. Antara Society of Mental Health Sciences is a voluntary, non-profit, secular and charitable organization founded in 2021. One of the objectives of the society is to develop mental health sciences and train competent professionals to treat mental health patients by setting up learning centers, knowledge hubs, and other related initiatives. We aim to promote education through rights-based approaches for all people.
Course Description
Antara Institute of Health Sciences currently offers a two years full-time Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) Programme affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). This course focuses on acquainting the student with the principles and practices essential for managing a hospital organization. With an objective of imbibing a professional approach amongst students towards hospital management, the subject encompasses management principles, functions and processes, discussing their significance and role in effective and efficient management of health care organizations.

Duration of the Course
The Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) is a 2-years full time programme affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). There is sufficient emphasis on field projects and internship programs for building practical experience under the experienced faculty of AIHS.
Eligibility for the Course
- Candidate must pass MBBS / BHMS / BAMS / BUMS / BDS or any full-time regular Bachelor’s degree (Hons) course from any recognized university.
- Candidates must clear the common entrance test JEMAS(PG)-2024for admission. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR based common entrance test JEMAS(PG)-2024 for admission in various institutions in West Bengal for 2024-25 academic session.
