A well-equipped 10 beds Inpatient Treatment Unit, perhaps the first of its kind in the Eastern part of India, was commissioned on 28th May 2005, as part of the Child Guidance Clinic at Antara.
The child can stay for treatment along with his/her mother or another family member. The objective of admitted treatment is for detailed observation of the child’s behaviour, interaction with parents, and detailed Psychiatric and Psychological assessment of the child. Other indoor facilities like Recreation Rooms, Dining Rooms, and Class Rooms have been arranged in this Unit. The Children’s Ward is partially supported by Minds for Health, U.K.
There are other activities like group discussions and group meetings, physical exercise, academic sessions, sports, games, reading, craft work like clay modeling, paper work, etc. for children during the day time.
