Introduction
In today’s global context, mental health has emerged as a significant issue, and India is actively addressing this concern. Amidst the stresses of modern life, individuals are increasingly experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as depression, anger, mood swings, anxiety, eating disorders, obesity, addiction, and related issues. The Course in Psychological Counselling enhances your theoretical and practical skills to identify areas of distress and implement intervention programs aimed at assisting individuals in managing crises effectively.
Course Content
1 year course (August 2024 to September 2025) consisting of 2 semesters each. Each semester contains 3 subjective modules. (A total of 6 modules)
- Module 1(2 months): Introduction to Psychology and Understanding Human Behaviour-
- Module 2 (3 months): Introduction to Psychopathology
- Module 3 (1 month) – Assessment techniques
- Module 4 (2 months)- Counselling basics
- Module 5 (2 or 3 months) – Counselling specifics
- Module 6 (1 or 2 months) – Basics of Psychotherapy
Duration of the Course
The P.G. Diploma in Psychological Counselling is a 1-year diploma programme. There is sufficient emphasis on field projects and internship programs for building practical experience under experienced Psychologists of Antara.

- Demonstrate the role of a psychological counsellor in entrepreneurial contexts, fostering leadership qualities and personal development, while adhering to legal standards in counselling practices.
