Clinical Facilities, Intervention Strategies, and Treatment Protocols for Women, Men, and Children at Antara Psychiatric Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre
At Antara, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centric care to men, women, and children battling mental health challenges. Our approach integrates detailed assessments, evidence-based interventions, and holistic rehabilitation strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.
1. Patient Case History
The treatment journey begins with an in-depth case history evaluation conducted by our multidisciplinary team. Patients and their caregivers are interviewed to gather critical insights into:
  • Medical and psychiatric history
  • Social and family background
  • Psychosocial stressors
  • Lifestyle and daily functioning
This step ensures we understand the context of each individual’s mental health challenges, forming the foundation for accurate diagnosis and personalized care.
2. Clinical Examination and Analysis
Our clinical team performs a comprehensive evaluation, which includes:
  • Physical Examination: To rule out medical conditions contributing to psychiatric symptoms.
  • Psychiatric Evaluation: Structured interviews and standardized tools are used to assess mood, cognition, perception, and behavior.
  • Psychological Assessments: Administered by clinical psychologists, these include intelligence tests, personality assessments, and specialized diagnostic tests to evaluate conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, or trauma.
  • Functional Assessments: Occupational therapists evaluate the patient’s ability to perform daily activities, ensuring a holistic view of their mental health.
3. Individualized Treatment Planning
Once the evaluation is complete, the multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychiatric social workers, and occupational therapists—develops a personalized treatment plan. Key elements include: A) Pharmacological Interventions: Prescription of evidence-based medications to stabilize symptoms, such as antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antidepressants etc. B) Psychological Therapies:
  • Individual counseling
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): For managing distorted thoughts and maladaptive behaviors.
  • Trauma-Informed Therapy: To support patients with PTSD or complex trauma histories.
  • Family Counseling: To enhance communication and build supportive home environments.
4. Neuro stimulation
rTMS A cutting edge technology which uses non invasive magnetic stimulation of the brain.
5. Rehabilitation Programs:
Focused on improving life skills, vocational training, and reintegration into society.

TREATMENT PROCESS

OUTPATIENT

The intake officer (Psychologist/Psychiatric Social Worker) prepares a detailed work up. After the Psychiatric & Physical Examination, a detailed management plan is chalked out.
