On 3rd May 2025, Antara Psychiatric Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre hosted a memorable Continued Medical Education (CME) event on Rehabilitation Psychiatry at Pride Plaza Hotel, New Town, Kolkata, marking not just one, but two major milestones in our journey!

Launch of the DNB (Psychiatry) Program – Antara is now the first hospital in West Bengal to be accredited by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.

Inauguration of the ‘Home for the Homeless Mentally Ill Persons’ – A compassionate initiative supported by Coal India Ltd. and Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives.

The evening was graced by a soulful Lamp Lighting Ceremony, powerful insights from Dr. Debasish Basu (HOD, Psychiatry, PGI Chandigarh), and the presence of Kolkata’s leading Psychiatrists. A thought-provoking panel discussion on ‘Rehabilitation in Psychiatry – Current Scenario’ moderated by Dr. Soumya Chatterjee, Chief Psychiatrist, Antara, added further depth to the event.
