TREATMENT PROCESS

OUT PATIENT
The intake officer (Psychologist/Psychiatric Social Worker) prepares a detailed work up. After the Psychiatric & Physical Examination, a detailed management plan is chalked out. Psychological & IQ Assessments are made. Various therapies are applied. Imparts training to the patients, if necessary

INPATIENT
A well-equipped 10 beds Inpatient Treatment Unit, perhaps the first of its kind in the Eastern part of India, was commissioned on 28th May 2005, as part of Child Guidance Clinic at Antara.

The child can stay for treatment along with his/her mother or another family member. Objective of admitted treatment is for detailed observation of the child’s behaviour, interaction with parents, detailed Psychiatric and Psychological assessment of the child. Other indoor facilities like Recreation Rooms, Dining Rooms, Class Rooms etc. have been arranged in this Unit. The Children’s Ward is partially supported by Minds for Health, U.K.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
